ESCV will be providing four travel grants to support the attendance of their members to the EUROPIC meeting in Harrogate, UK, 5-9.6.2022. The travel grant will cover your registration fee, which also includes four nights’ accommodation at the meeting hotel with all meals and refreshments in addition to the scientific and social programmes.

EUROPIC is the world premier virology conference focusing on picornaviruses. This family includes several important human pathogens such as polioviruses, rhinoviruses, numerous enteroviruses (e.g., EV-A71, EV-D68 and CVA6), parechoviruses and hepatitis A virus. Meeting topics cover the diversity and evolution, pathogenesis, virus-cell interaction, host reaction to picornavirus infection, virus structure and life cycle, molecular epidemiology and emergence of new viruses as well as ongoing surveillance activities and advances in clinical virology including diagnostics, vaccines and antivirals. Eligibility criteria:

ESCV members or those who have applied for ESCV membership

An oral or poster presentation at the meeting (deadline for submission 17.3.2022)

Priority will be given to applicants from LMIC and Eastern Europe

A maximum award will be €750 but individual consideration can be given for those attending from LMIC with higher travel costs upon request
